We provide a shot list for you to complete. If you cannot complete a certain shot, you can adjust. This occurs when there are obstructions such as telephone wires, trees, etc. You can leave comments as to why a shot was not possible. If a re-shoot is absolutely necessary, we will let you know.
Client missions must meet certain Quality Control Standards to be considered successful. If those standards are not met due to negligence on the part of the pilot then a reshoot may be required. Reshoots are unpaid additional trips to the mission site to capture more images. Common reasons for reshoots are as follows:
Not taking the correct images.
Shot lists for missions are clearly outlined before you accept a mission. Also, certain mission types require onboarding which should prepare pilots for all aspects of the mission. If you are unsure of the shot list for an active mission then reach out to a Zeitview representative for clarification.
Poor image quality.
Blurry, overexposed, underexposed, etc. images are not acceptable for paying client missions. Some missions may specify requested camera settings. We will not penalize pilots for poor image quality due to those settings.
Not using the correct equipment.
Almost all client missions require DJI drones. Certain missions may require specific drones (Inspire vs Mavic) or HD cameras for ground shots. Equipment requirements are covered either in the onboarding or in the Additional Information section of the mission.
Not shooting under proper weather conditions.
Unless otherwise noted, unscheduled missions must be flown on a clear or partly cloudy day. The pilot is responsible for choosing the correct day to match the specific weather conditions for each individual mission. Scheduled missions must be flown on the stipulated day baring any poor weather (rain/snow/high winds) or requirements for specific clients. For example, insurance missions usually require dry roofs. If there has been rain on the night prior to the mission and the roof has not had time to dry a reschedule may be required. Client requirements are outlined either in the onboarding or the mission itself.
Missing a custom request that has been specified to the pilot.
Sometimes a client may ask for a specific image or specific images to be included in the assets. For example, a lakefront property may ask for an image of the front of the house showcasing the lake in the background. Or a client may ask for a call to coordinate the mission before a pilot flies. We include these custom requests in the "Additional Information" section of the notification emails and the mission details page on the pilot dashboard.
Once a reshoot has been completed we will Quality Check the assets. Payment will follow promptly if the reshoot has been performed correctly.
