When you fly missions for Zeitview that have a large volume of assets, you will be required to upload into our FTP (Cyberduck) that forwards your assets (Images or Video Files) directly to our server. Please follow the steps below. If you have any questions regarding this process, reach out to pilots@dronebase.com.
Step 1: Please download the Cyberduck Desktop App
Step 2: You will have to set up Cyberduck's settings to avoid duplicate file names. Please follow these steps to ensure you do not have this problem.
A. You will have to access the preferences of Cyberduck in your Mac or PC to get this setting enabled.
B. Access the transfer preferences, and click into the "uploads" section. You will see an "existing files" section that will be defaulted to "prompt," select the "rename option." This option will allow any image you have started to upload into Cyberduck with the same file name to be renamed. We understand that your images may not be true duplicates, but their names could be. This option will ensure that all of your assets are uploaded regardless of the file name because it will rename all of the duplicate file names.
You do not move to Step 2 until you have completed the mission and have the assets ready to be uploaded.
Step 2: When you are ready to download, click "start uploading process" to generate your access keys.
Step 3: After you have generated the Access Keys, you will be prompted to download a .duck file. This file contains all of the information that will direct you to the specific mission you are uploading to. This .duck file will only be specific to this mission and CANNOT be used for any other mission. Press the "Download Cyberduck Credential" to download the file to your computer. (Blue Arrow)
Step 4: After downloading the .duck file to your computer, you will be given a Secret Access Key that you can copy and paste into (red arrow above) the login section of Cyberduck that says "Secret Access Key." This key will allow you to access your buckets associated with this mission.
Step 5: After you have been logged into your mission, you will see a number of folders that are associated with your DBM. Please allocate the assets in their appropriate folders. You must click the folder you want to upload into before dragging your assets or the folder. All assets must be in an actual folder for them to be transferred correctly into that shot bucket specifically.
Step 6: You will drag your assets into the empty folder (select all of the assets and dump them into the bucket). You are also able to drag an entire folder into the bucket. Both examples will be below. You should see all of your assets in the folder that you clicked on once it is done or you can see your folder name in there as well. All four images below pertain to two ways you could do this. One is to save time when your assets exceed thousands of images or large video files. Keep in mind another window will open estimating your time to completion. You can use that to update us on the email thread that you are communicating with Zeitview about this specific mission.
Step 7: Once your upload is complete, you can confirm your mission by going into your pilot dashboard and clicking the "Done Uploading" button. This action will allow our team to receive your mission and begin an asset review.
