This tool will allow you to verify GPS metadata for all of your images quickly on a Satellite Map view while on-site to ensure you have 100% coverage for your capture. This tool works on a PC browser (Use Chrome as our recommended browser) and an iOS device only.
To view the iOS guide, please click here.
Notes
- This tool will only appear when you have an applicable mission.
- If using another coverage check tool, (for ex. DroneDeploy), you don't need to use this tool.
- If using the coverage checker tool built into the iOS Zeitview Pilot app to fly an automated flight, there is no need to use the PC version
- Please use the latest version of Google Chrome as it is our recommended browser to operate our platform with.
- Please bring a laptop on-site to verify coverage before departing location.
* This is NOT an upload of your mission. You will still need to upload all assets as usual after checking coverage.
How to use
- On your computer, go to your Pilot Dashboard on Zeitview, make sure you are logged in to your Zeitview profile.
- Click Upload next to the mission you'd like to check your coverage on.
- On the next screen, you should see a tab for GPS Coverage Check. Click on Check Coverage.
- You should now be at the GPS Coverage Check tool page.
- Plug in the SD card from the drone to your laptop. Select all files captured for the mission, then you can either drag & drop the images into the box or click on the Add Images button at the top-right corner of the screen.
- Once you've added images into the tool, it will begin to process the metadata for the images. It should be very quick and can take a bit longer for a larger set of images but should easily process in under a minute.
- After processing, you should have a live view of where each file was taken.
- If you need to add more images to this scan, click the Add Images button on the top-right corner of the screen. Do not drag & drop if you'd like to add more to the same scan.
To start a new scan, click on Start A New Scan below the map to start over.
